US-based Lawson Software has formed a new partnership with Commsoft Technologies, a Canadian provider of enterprise software sales and consulting services, according to which Commsoft will focus on selling the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System to small and mid-size firms in distribution, general manufacturing, and food and beverage production, primarily in Quebec.

Commsoft will offer localized service with French language capabilities, which is critical when working with Quebec-based customers and prospects, said Lawson. Commsoft also has experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software development, implementations and maintenance.

Jeff Farris, strategic alliance manager for Lawson, said: Commsoft helps extend the reach of Lawson enterprise applications in the Quebec market with its region-specific expertise, as well as its industry-specific experience. Working together, we can help companies in this area become stronger and more effective, which is even more critical during tight economic times.

Alix Muller, CEO of Commsoft, said: We see the Lawson M3 system as a compelling ERP offering for the types of companies we serve in this region. We, like Lawson, are committed to delivering flexible options for our customers coupled with smooth implementations at a relatively low total cost of ownership. Our consulting services are well-positioned to support the Lawson product offerings.
