Lawson Software Inc has announced the integration of its Insight Business Management System with Lotus Development Corp’s Notes and Domino groupware. The company claims that the enterprise resource planning software is the first to tightly integrate with the Notes client – including the upcoming release 5 – and hopes that this will help it gain a larger market share in the ERP sector. A spokesperson for Lotus said that the firm has been working to integrate the Notes/Domino line with various ERP vendors’ products – pointing to previously announced tie-ups with SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Oracle, and expects a slew of ERP vendors to announce the integration of their products with R5 in Orlando, Florida this week. The Lawson Insight software is available for the NT, Unix and AS/400 platforms.
