Lawson Software, a provider of enterprise software, has been selected by the City of Nashua, New Hampshire in the US, for the multi-application deployment of the its human resource management, enterprise financial management and supply chain management suites.
The deployment will also include enterprise-wide user productivity applications, Lawson Business Intelligence and Lawson Smart Office, which will enable the city improve information flow across several functional areas and help administrators in decision making.
The Lawson offerings will replace the city’s legacy applications, as part of the recently initiated Nashua Government INnovation (NGIN) project which aims to transform transform and modernise city government and provide a unified system of technologies, business processes and management.
IT director for the City of Nashua John Barker said deployment of the Lawson ERP system will help improve workflow efficiency, transparency and knowledge sharing city-wide.
The upgrade to Lawson will bring together core finance, procurement and HR applications, including human resource management, enterprise financial management, supply chain management, Lawson Business Intelligence and Lawson Smart Office for enhancing software user productivity.
Lawson Public Sector general manager Brian Murphy said authorities at the city of Nashua have selected the Lawson offerings in effort to reduce continued budgetary pressures at the federal, state and local levels and to replace their legacy technology infrastructure.
