According to media reports, the agreement will see the radio station broadcast an exclusive weekly global chart show based on what Last.fm users around the world have been listening to, which will be tracked by the website’s Audioscrobbler technology.

In addition, Channel 4 Radio DJs will be able to share play lists on the Last.fm site for any of its more than 20 million registered users to access.

In other news, rumors that Viacom is looking to buy Last.fm have continued to circulate, with Wall Street tabloid DealBreaker recently citing an unnamed source as confirming that, although an agreement has yet to be announced, it is still expected to materialize. The price tag attached to the deal is said to be around $450 million.
