Lantronix unveils new version of ManageLinx

For enhanced remote product servicing and device management

Lantronix, a provider of secure, remote device networking and data centre management technologies, has released a new version of its remote access offering ManageLinx, which provides access to firewall protected devices through internet.

Using virtual device network, ManageLinx enables users to create virtual IP (VIP) connections between any two points on the internet without changing the network configuration or application software. Virtual device network (VDN) allows administrators to restrict access to specific IP addresses, the company said.

The company said that the new version allows administrators to configure multiple devices with a new command line interface (CLI) and the auditing capability facilitates collection and reporting of significant events on the system.

According to Lantronix, ManageLinx enables service organisations, such as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and managed service providers (MSPs), to extend the remote product service offerings to customers. It allows service providers to monitor equipment, diagnose problems, and perform service repairs from a remote location.

With ManageLinx, service providers can monitor equipment, diagnose problems, and perform service repairs from a remote location. In addition, it also provides integration with the DeviceLinx and SecureLinx network enablement products. It includes XPort Pro device server and the SpiderDuo KVM over IP. When used in conjunction, DeviceLinx and ManageLinx 2.0 comprise, a remote device management and control offering, resulting in to reduced number of physical service calls, the company said.
