LANIER AGREES TO SELL PHONE SYSTEMS ARM TO TELECO

Harris Corp’s Lanier Worldwide Inc is to sell its business telephone operations to Teleco Inc of Greenville, South Carolina under terms of a letter of intent signed between the two. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The business telephone operation is part of Lanier’s Voice Products Division and Lanier will work closely with Teleco during the transition to ensure continuity for its dealers and customers in providing sales, service and support. Lanier Voice Products has been in dictation systems for 55 years. Teleco, born in 1981, is a US-wide supplier of telecommunications systems and long-distance services from 80 bases.
