LANDIS & GYR COMMUNICATIONS GETS CONTRACT FROM BT

By CBR Staff Writer

Plessey Co is by no means the only player in the pay phones game, and British Telecom has just given Landis & Gyr Communications Ltd of Wimborne, Dorset, a UKP12m contract for further pay-phones for use in hotels and other indoor locations where the proprietor rents phones: the compact tabletop Payphone 100 and the wall mounted Payphone 200 Mark II will be manufactured at the company’s Croydon, Surrey factory; the firm also supplies Cardphones.
