Cincinnati-based LAN Solutions said that it is merging with Intrust Group of Chicago, effective immediately.
Both companies are managed service providers for small and medium-sized companies, municipalities, school districts and other organisations in their respective cities. The merged firm will keep the name Intrust Group.
Rick Phipps, VP of service operations at Intrust Group, said: Because we now have operations in two cities, we can ensure continued service if there’s a problem in one of the locations. And by bringing our teams together, we can broaden and deepen our technical skills, enabling us to offer a greater range of services to our customers.
Tim Rettig, founder of LAN Solutions and now president of Intrust Group, said: “Both companies have worked hard to gain the trust of our clients, vendors, and the greater communities we serve. If we hadn’t been able to achieve a level of trust, then we wouldn’t have been able to help our clients achieve their goals through the efficient yet secure use of information technology.
