Lady Gaga’s manager is raising $75m for tech startup investments.

Troy Carter has previously invested in firms such as Spotify, Dropbox and Summly through his AF Square fund, and PandoDaily now reports he is raising between $75m and $100m to spend in seed and Series A funding.

Rather than focusing on specific sectors, Carter will spend the cash on individual endeavours, he told the site.

The pop manager has a passion for making music available as widely as possible, and is believed to have been heavily involved in a decision to make Gaga’s forthcoming album, ARTPOP, available as an app as well as a traditional album.

However, the singer’s description of the app as a "jewel case" for her album has blunted expectations of the scope of what it will do.
