Krispy Kreme to use Oracle to support future growth

Doughnut firm will use product from 2014.

By Joe Curtis

Krispy Kreme has announced it will use Oracle as its enterprise resource planning (Erp) platform to support future growth.

The doughnut maker said it will go live with Oracle’s E-Business Suite in either the second or third quarter of next year. The Erp suite should support Krispy Kreme as it grows as a global business, said the firm.

Doug Muir, executive VP and CFO of Krispy Kreme, said: "We needed a technology platform that could scale with us. We believe the Oracle E-Business Suite is a great fit for Krispy Kreme and is the technology platform best suited to support our ongoing growth.

"The comprehensive capabilities we expect Oracle to deliver should enable us to maximize our effectiveness, support good decision-making, and help us accomplish our strategic objectives throughout our business."
