As previously announced, agreement was reached on this deal at the end of last year (December 14). The transaction is worth a net amount of EUR 500
million (EUR 398.5 million for acquisition of the shares and EUR 101.5 million in shareholders’ loans). KPN is paying for the transaction from its cash reserves.
KPN Orange had more than 500,000 subscribers at the end of December 2000, making it the relatively fastest growing mobile operator in Belgium.
