The Asian economic crisis has upturned the memory market and all sides are throwing toys out of the pram claiming their interests are being hurt in the aftermath. The Korean Semiconductor Industry Association (KSIA) is trying hard to counter a lobbying campaign mounted by US chip manufacturers attempting to goad US authorities into taking action against Korean companies said to be dumping products on the US markets at the same time as getting International Monetary Fund bailout money. The KSIA dismisses the allegations, made by companies such as Micron Technology Inc and the American Semiconductor Industry association as groundless according to a report in the Korea Herald. All indications are that Micron is preparing to file another anti-dumping charge against Korean companies.
