Namo Interactive, Korea’s top internet software developer, has won a $50m order for the Japanese version of its Namo Web Editor 3 package. Under the agreement with Japanese general trading firm Emori, Namo will export 600,000 WE3 units over the next three years.

Namo has also been working on English and French versions of the package, which will be unveiled next month in the US and European markets. Company president Park Hung-ho said Namo is in serious talks with potential distributors in the US and France. He said the company expects to ship 1.5 million packages to the US and 300,000 to Europe if the current talks are successful.

Namo Web Editor, a program made exclusively by Korean software developers, will become the favorite internet word processor in the US, Japan and Europe within a couple of years, Park predicted.
