KOREAN CONSORTIUM FORMED

The Federation of Korean Industries has formed a consortium of 25 local companies to run South Korea’s second mobile phone network: the consortium, to be led by Pohang Iron & Steel Co, will also include foreign partners yet to be chosen – Airtouch Communications Inc and Qualcomm Inc are the front runners.
