By CBR Staff Writer

Konan Corp, Tempe, Arizona is ready with a 16-bit intelligent cacheing disk controller that is claimed to provide an effective average data access time of less than 3mS, about 10 times faster than standard IBM AT controllers: after it has been used three times, the controller learns enough of the user’s habits to score a cache hit 90% of the time; the Z80-based Ten Time Controller, with 128Kb of static RAM will be $595 for the hard disk version, $695 for a hard+floppy unit.
