KOKUSAI DENSHIN DENWA SUCCESSFULLY TESTS A GLOBAL AREA NETWORK

You’ve heard of local and wide area networks – well Kokusai Denshin Denwa Co has successfully tested what it calls a Global Area Network running at 2Mbps over digital satellite links, using Intelsat V in the KU band via two earthstations in Tokyo: protocols are to the ISO Open Systems standards.
