KOKUSAI DENSHIN DENWA SECOND HALF PROFIT GROWTH DOWN TO NIL

And back home, Kokusai Denshin Denwa says that the new era of competition will force it to become leaner and fitter: it sees the arrival of two competitors in the second half of the year cutting its profit growth to nil, and says it must reduce its workforce to 6,000 from the present 7,000 – entirely by attrition, it would seem, for the target date is not until 1993.
