KODAK TAKES $150m LOSSES IN VITAL DIGITAL IMAGING SECTOR

Eastman Kodak Co, which reported net profits down 43% to $232m earlier this week (CI No 3,268) saw operating losses of $150m in the third quarter and $300m for the first nine months of 1997 in the vital digital imaging sector which Kodak sees as its emerging markets and where it is investing heavily. Its products include digital cameras, scanners, printers, writable CDs and image manipulation software.
