Kobo unveils waterproof ebook reader Aura H2O

It will cost £139.99 in UK.

Canadian ebook reader maker, Kobo has introduced Kobo Aura H2O, a waterproof ebook reader that users can use even in their bath and pool.

The new reader features 6.8-inch touchscreen, I GHz processor and 4 GB of storage which is expandable up to 32GB with a Micro SD card and anti-glare display, it also has a battery life for up to two months.

The e-book reader is waterproof for up to a depth of 1 metre and for 30 minutes, provided that the port is covered.

Kobo has made the new device 233g lighter and 9.7mm thinner than its predecessor Aura HD.

Kobo president and chief content officer Michael Tamblyn said: "As we dug deeper, we found that more than 60% of customers surveyed said they would love to be able read near water without worry."

"We designed the Kobo Aura H2O, our latest premium eReader, so that ebooks could be just as common at the beach or in the bath as they are on the bus or in bed."
