KOBE STEEL ESTABLISHES 100%-OWNED MALAYSIAN SUBSIDIARY

Kobe Steel Ltd has established a 100%-owned Malaysian subsidiary, Kobe Precision Parts, to make precision steel parts for the office equipment industry: its Nagoya factory will cease exporting, and the responsibility for supplying Japanese manufacturers setting up in South-East Asia will be taken over by the Malaysian plant, which will make mainly aluminium and magnesium parts for Winchesters.
