KNOWLEDGEWARE IS CUTTING STAFF NUMBERS BY 25%

KnowledgeWare Inc is reducing its worldwide workforce by 25%, eliminating about 240 of 947 positions. About 75% of reductions are in domestic operations and 25% are international. 140 of the positions going are in the Atlanta headquarters offices. It said a concurrent reorganisation is designed to maximise productivity in the streamlined operation. Unascertained restructuring charges are anticipated in the first quarter of fiscal year 1995. It plans to release final results for its year ended ended June 30, 1994 by mid August. On July 1 it it said it would restructure operations and implement cost controls due to disappointing fourth quarter results.
