KINGSTON COMMUNICATIONS WINS CELLULAR BILLING SOFTWARE CONTRACTS IN GERMANY

By CBR Staff Writer

Hull-based Kingston Communications Ltd, the UK’s third and smallest public telecommunications operator is cashing in on liberalisation just like its bigger counterparts and has signed a contract with German company Debis Systemhaus GmbH to provide billing and administration software to Germany’s cellular phone networks. Kingston has secured the deal through its Edingburgh-based subsidiary SCL Group, which has won a similar contract in Finland. The SCL software will sit on the data centres which are run by Debis Systemhaus and will be aimed at the German service providers of the two digital cellular net works that are currently being set up by the Deutsche Bundespost Telekom and Mannesmann Mobilfunk.
