KINBURN SELLS XIOS BENELUX TO MULTIHOUSE NV

By CBR Staff Writer

The Benelux end of Xios Corp, successor company to the old AES shared logic word processor business now owned by ravaged Kinburn Corp, has been sold to Multihouse NV, which as is usually the case when declining computer companies are taken over, found the maintenance arm the main attraction. The 64 employees in the Netherlands and 19 in Belgium have been taken on, but the four in Luxembourg lost their jobs. The businesses did a combined $8.2m in 1989, losing money in Belgium. The acquisition adds $2.1m of annual maintenance business to the $7.5m of Multihouse; terms not disclosed.
