Commenting on the acquisition, Michael Thomes, Keycorp CEO said, EFTPOS Engineering brings a profitable and growing services business that will complement Keycorp’s existing EFTPOS services business in Australia. This acquisition enhances Keycorp’s end-to-end services offering by delivering multi-vendor support and strong help-desk capability to customers.
EFTPOS Engineering assists customers to manage and maintain their EFTPOS systems by providing on-site services, deployment, expedited replacement, teletraining, help desk support, repair programs and extended warranties. EFTPOS Engineering currently services major financial and retail institutions.
The agreement will see Keycorp taking ownership of EFTPOS Engineering’s assets for an undisclosed sum and is expected to completed within four weeks.
