KEY TRONIC TURNS ITS ONE-TIME DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM INTO PRODUCT

By CBR Staff Writer

Spokane, Washington-based Key Tronic Corp has turned its One-Time Data Collection System, developed for in-house use, into a product: the system runs on a local area network of microcomputers, one of which serves as a polling machine for connection of up to 127 One-Station terminals through an RS422 multidrop network; another MS-DOS machine runs the application for data analysis and reporting and the terminals have bar code and key-press capability for fast, accurate and efficient data input for many systems; the company gave no price.
