Key Tronic Corp, Spokane, Washington has taken manufacturing rights to a new computer input device from Home Row Inc of Clackamas, Oregon.Getting rid of the absurdity of the mouse, the Home Row pointing device is integrated into the keyboard – on the J key – to provide the point and draw capabilities of a mouse, without the need to take the hands off the home row typing position. The right index finger is used to apply pivotal pressure to the key to produce the same movement as with a mouse or trackball, and the Alt key is used to toggle the J key between typing and pointing modes.
