IT consulting firm Keane Inc has acquired fellow Boston company Amherst Consulting Group Inc, a privately-held management consulting firm specializing in change management. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Amherst will be merged with Keane’s consulting firm Bricker & Associates and will become the new Bricker office in Boston.
Keane says Amherst’s change management services – which are designed to support companies undergoing mergers, acquisitions or deregulation, or undergoing major technology initiatives such as e-commerce and customer relationship management implementations – is complementary to Bricker’s core service offerings. Amherst’s clients, include Bell Atlantic Corp, Bethlehem Steel and Boston Edison.
