Under the plans, Massachusetts-based Keane will hire as many as 175 new staff from Nova Scotia, Ontario and other Canadian provinces to fill technical roles at its data center in Halifax.

Nova Scotia Economic Development Office and Nova Scotia Business Inc will put $1.5 million towards the staff payroll as well as a $2.5 million incentive to expand in the market.

Keane has had a location in Halifax since 1996, and earlier this year the company claimed it had become the first such location to have achieved SEI CMM Level 5 rating in the market for the quality of its software and services.
