Simulsat C/Ku is claimed to be an advanced antenna in the Simulsat family designed for international applications. With its ability to receive information from up to 35 satellites simultaneously, Simulsat technology is one of the key components in KDDI’s mobile communications infrastructure.

Besides providing the equipment, Antenna Technology Communications (ATCi) partnered with NEC (NESIC) to integrate the Simulsat with customized heating kit along with fiber optics into the customer’s existing M&C system which allows for remote monitoring from their corporate headquarters in Tokyo.

Gunnar Light, managing director of ATCi Asia, said: Simulsat C/Ku was specifically re-engineered for the unique applications that are specific to international customers. We are proud to have had such a long standing relationship with KDDI, and believe that it is a strong testament to Simulsat technology that KDDI has once again chosen ATCi to assist them in streamlining their satellite reception capabilities in their newest teleport facility.
