KayPro Corp, Solana Beach, California, has begun shipping its 80386-based Kaypro 386 to US dealers, offering the Model A with 1.2Mb floppy and 512Kb for $5,000, and the E, with 40Mb Winchester, 1.2Mb floppy and 2.5Mb memory for $6,295. The company has also cut prices on its newly-enhanced 286i AT-alike, which now comes with 10MHz CPU and 640Kb as standard. The Model A, with a1.2Mb floppy, now costs $2,000, and the Model C, which adds 30Mb Winchester, is cut 25% to $3,000. Kaypro is also bundling Hercules-compatible monochrome graphics boards with the EXP XT-alike at $1,200.
