Banking software specialist Kapiti Ltd – soon to be owned by Mi-sys Plc – is to open an office in Moscow in the next couple of months. Dmitri Khandji, Kapiti Moscow representative, says all work was previously done through IBM Moscow, but Kapiti planned a presence in Moscow once the volume of business justified it. The company has a finished localised product since the summer of 1993. Kapiti now has three sites: The Central Bank of Irkutsk, Zibaikal Zolotobank in Chita and Belvneshekonombank Minsk.
