KAO CORP SETS UP SUBSIDIARY IN ONTARIO

We’re likely to be seeing a lot of a new name on our microfloppy disk drives – Kao Corp or Kao-Didak Ltd: the Japanese company has set up Kao-Didak as an 80% subsidiary in Arnprior, Ontario, where this week it opened a factory that will work three production lines three shifts a day, seven days a week, to produce 2m disks a month by February rising to 6m by the end of 1988.
