The Kamitsu Systems Design Office software company has developed two types of expert system development tools for use on small Japanese language word processors such as the Toshiba Rupo JW90F: the two offerings are a Japanese Prolog, which enables the building of a knowledge base using a word processor, has some degree of inbuilt computer-aided instruction in the Prolog language and costs $190; the other is an expert system shell which supports several different expression types, has a trace facility and costs $140.
