Kaltura releases integration with Cisco WebEx

Integration allows Kaltura's video tools to be used for archiving and publishing WebEx workflow.

By Claire Vanner

Kaltura has announced a new integration with WebEx, allowing users to archive, manage, publish, make searchable and distribute their WebEx recordings using Kaltura.

With this new integration organisations can leverage Kaltura’s advanced video tools for their WebEx recordings, resulting in advanced search capabilities, cross-device delivery, social sharing and commenting, reports and analytics, great cost savings on storage and more.

"With the convergence of live and VOD content, our customers expressed the need for unified flows from creation to consumption. Following our integration with WebEx, one of the most popular and widely-used video-conferencing and webcasting solutions out there, they can seamlessly manage their WebEx recordings just as they do their other video content with Kaltura," said Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Chairman and CEO.

With Kaltura’s WebEx Integration organisations can automatically archive all WebEx recordings with Kaltura and subsequently manage and search any recordings and publish new recordings to deliver to any browser or device.

The integration also permits control access by publishing on restricted user-channels and allows users to access detailed reporting and analytics about the WebEx recordings.

As many large organisations are deploying a CorporateTube video portal with Kaltura to easily search, browse and share all things video within the enterprise, the ability to manage WebEx content is a natural step in allowing the organisation to easily access and search all rich media content.
