Commenting on the company’s improved end of year figures (see Company Results inside) Bill Nickoll, managing director of Northfield, Birmingham system house Kalamazoo Plc, says the group has repositioned its business with a series of divestments and acquisitions since August 1987, and he looks to acquisition of a controlling interest in Great American Software Inc to ease its trans-Atlantic distribution problems; the main contributors to the year’s profits were the group’s motor trade, forms and equipment and KMS-datacare activities: during the current year the group is embarking on a second phase of its recovery programme which will involve costs in the early part of 1989, but no job losses, he promises.
