Now San Leandro, California-based Jupiter Systems Inc is jumping into the X Window System-with-live video in a window. The company is offering the Multi-Channel Live Video for the MX600 X Window Display Station – no word on which processor it uses, but the R-series and the 80960 are the most popular. Jupiter Systems says that it incorporates a full colour live video feed spanning up to four real-time video windows simultaneously, which can be derived from sources such as cable television, cameras, private satellite channels or videotape recorders. No prices were available as to the pricing of Multi-Channel Live Video.
