JetBrains releases new .NET performance profiler

dotTrace Performance 5.0 can be attached to and detached from an already running process

By CBR Staff Writer

Software development firm JetBrains has released dotTrace Performance 5.0, a new release of its .NET performance profiler, which attaches the profiler to running processes to profile potential performance issues as they appear in production.

The new release enables user to discover performance limitations on production servers without the need to deploy an entire profiler infrastructure.

dotTrace 5.0 Performance’s code preview tools are enhanced with an integrated decompiler to enable the new release to decompile the code of any function featured in a profiling snapshot, even if the source code is not immediately available.
