IBM mid-range agent JBA International Plc has beaten ICL to a UKP1m plus order from the TSB Group-owned vehicle contract hire company, Swan National Leasing: under the terms of the three phase contract, JBA will implement an AS/400 model B50, a custom vehicle fleet operations system, and quotations, order processing and general and purchase ledger software; replac-ing Swan’s current ICL ME29s, the system should be operational by the end of next year, and – claims JBA – will provide the computing resources to support the tripling of Swan’s fleet to 60,000 vehicles.
