JAROSH APPOINTED AS/400 GM

By CBR Staff Writer

IBM Corp has installed channel chief Tom Jarosh as general manager of its AS/400 division reporting to Bill Zeitler, who had the job until being made general manager of brand management for IBM’s mid-range server group last week when IBM consolidated AS/400 and RS/6000 development and marketing operations (CI No 3,281). Jarosh, one-time director of advanced workstations and AIX systems, was most recently VP global channel marketing. He’s replaced by Alexandre Attal. Although RS/6000 manufacturing has already been moved to AS/400’s Rochester, Minnesota-based production lines, the company says it will maintain separate brand identities for its the two mid-range lines.
