St Albans, Hertfordshire-based Jaguar Communications Plc has anounced a new range of products that is said to combine ISDN back-up and bandwidth-on-demand facilities. The new Digidial products are designed as single and dual-port leased line Kilostream back-up units, providing alternative 64Kbps links in the event of Kilostream line failure. According to the company, the two products can also be used as bandwidth-on-demand terminal adaptors for local network-to-local network bridging via ISDN when there is insufficient bandwidth on the Kilostream links. The single-port XBU supports X.21 interfaces while the dual-port VBU offers switch-selectable V.35/V.24 support. The XBU is to cost ?1,500, while the VBU has a list price of ?1,800. Both are available immediately, Jaguar says.
