ITL RECEIVES BIG ORDERS FROM CAR COMPANIES

By CBR Staff Writer

Information Technology Plc, ITL, has received UKP500,000 worth of orders from Austin Rover, Ford, Land Rover and Jaguar for its Cablestream broadband cable systems in recent months: the networks, which cost between UKP10,000 and UKP60,000, allow a wide variety of different computers, terminals and other equipment to be linked over a single cable which runs through a large factory site; sales for Cablestream have now reached UKP5m since it was introduced five years ago.
