Iterated Systems Inc has set up a program to co-ordinate video producers with their peers and customers across the world. The Media Partners Alliance Program enables users to locate video compression bureaux, original video producers and video content providers. In September, the company began showing off its Internet video system, ClearVideo, based on fractal compression techniques. Much too slow to be a real-time compression system, such as is required in videoconferencing, ClearVideo is suitable for pre-compressed video across networks, and the Alliance should see some takers.
