ITALTEL HAS $23M CONTRACT FOR PULSE CODE MODULATION TRANSMISSION EQUIPMENT

Italtel SpA has a $23m contract for pulse code modulation transmission equipment and fibre-optic subsystems to help in the modernisation of the Buenos Aires telephone system under Argenitina’s Digi 2 project: Italtel has 48% of local telecommunications manufacturer Entel SA, and says that Entel may be awarded a $20m contract to manufacture equipment for the Digi 2 system.
