ITALCABLE SPA TO LAY EMOS 1

Plans to lay Emos 1, a fibre optic telephone cable to link Palermo, Sicily with the eastern Mediterranean, have been announced by Italcable SpA of Rome, Italy: the cable will come from Pirelli SpA, and will be laid by Submarcom SA of France for service in 1990 but value of the contracts was not given.
