Istel Ltd, Redditch, Worcestershire, on its way out of Rover Group, most likely by a management buy-out, has joined forces with Systems Designers Plc on offering electronic data interchange services to customers. Systems Designers will contribute its programming skills to provide the interfaces to enable users to link their computer systems into Istel’s Edict data exchange value-added network. Where possible, simple translation software, or the Sitpro Interbridge will be used. Istel already has 170 users of Edict, ranging from travel and health care to manufacturing, distibution and finance.
