Nine internet service providers have formed a group, called IOPS.ORG, to make commercial internet use more reliable. The founders – including AT&T, Earthlink Network, BBN, GTE, MCI, Netcom and UUNET – say they will work toward improving network integration through technical coordination and information exchange.
