Los Angeles-based Isocor Inc has introduced Isoplex Version 4 server, a full 92 spec scalable, multiprotocol message server for client-server data transfer to corporate backbones. Version 4, said to be entirely software-based, can be used as a messaging system for electronic data interchange, electronic mail, secure transactions and multimedia file transfer, says the company. Client and application programming interface gateways supported by the server include Messaging and the X/Open Co Ltd Gateway Application Programming Interface. Isoplex Version 4 server is now available and pricing, on a per server basis, ranges from $5,000 to $100,000, based on operating system and number of processors.
