Iridium LLC, a group of 18 international telecoms organizations has said the planned launch of an unmanned Delta rocket carrying five communications satellites (CI No 3,200), was postponed on Sunday until today, owing to faulty software on the ground. The satellites will enable customers to use handheld telephones and pagers anywhere in the world. The consortium led by Motorola Inc, says the satellites will join the 17, out of a planned 66, that have already been launched.
