IRELAND’s DELTA WINS DANISH PHONE PACT

By CBR Staff Writer

The Copenhagen Telephone Co, KTAS, is forging ahead with digitalisation of Denmark’s exchanges with an order for UKPIr800,00 of signalling conversion equipment from Delta Communications. The equipment will enable analogue kit to connect to digital over the international R2 standard as well as allow the Danish national protocol which resides on most of the country’s exchanges, to link with the European 30 channel links. This matching of old with new will allow KTAS to buy kit from any major manufacturer, simplifying tendering and promoting competition.
