Ireland has decided to take decisive action to cut down on the number of strays wandering its streets – and we’re not talking cats and dogs here. The Financial Times says the Irish are turning to microchip technology to deal with the growing problem of stray horses in certain areas of the country, following the introduction of the Control of Horses Act. If tagged horses are found on public land they will be impounded and only released when a fine has been paid. If it happens three times, the horse will be confiscated.
